Episode 8: 3 Ways You Can Align Your Actions with Your Goals

Are you struggling to see the results you want from the work you’re putting in with your health and fitness? When you think about losing weight or getting fit, I bet you think you need to work out more, cut calories, restrict your favorite foods, etc., but honestly, that’s not how it works. In all reality, you need to make sure the actions you’re taking are matching the goals you want to achieve. Otherwise, you’ll just be stuck spinning your wheels and not making the progress you want-I don’t want that for you!
I've found that some clients who set pretty lofty goals (ex. wanting to lose 40-50 lbs) don't want to end up taking action with their goals, once they find out what it will take to reach them. That's okay too, because that's actually part of being aware of what you're wanting, and what it takes to get those things. You then realize that maybe that's not actually something you want to strive for.
In today’s episode, I'm covering 3 ways you can align your actions with your goals, which are:
- The importance of setting realistic and specific goals
- Setting a deadline for your goals with an ultimatum or reward (try not to use food as a reward)
- Having and putting a plan of action into place
I want you to remind you-no action equals no results. You're not going to get to where you want to go by doing the things that you're doing right now, because those things are not getting you to where you want to be!
When you do start following a plan, you're starting to hit your goals, and you see the momentum happening. That momentum becomes motivation, which becomes consistency, and this is how it all turns into a habit. But..it all starts with that awareness, and with realizing your actions have to align with your goals.
