We’re officially into the holiday season, and the final month of 2022-pretty crazy, right?!
This time of year can bring about a lot of emotions for people. For many women, it seems like they either start obsessing over their nutrition and workouts, or they just throw in the towel completely and say ‘f*ck it’ until January. I really just want to share some advice that has helped me (as well as the ladies I work with) during the holiday season, and I hope it does the same for you.
In today’s episode, I’m sharing my top 3 tips to help you enjoy this holiday season, which are:
- Really think about what you want your holiday season to look like. You really need to be realistic with your health and fitness goals (ex. do you want to stay really 'on track' with your macros, workouts, water intake, etc., or do you want to let loose more and just not worry about it as much?) You also shouldn't be comparing to everyone else, and what they're doing (your family, friends, and those you see on social media).
- Something is always better than nothing (when it comes to your health and fitness). I tell my ladies this ALL of the time, because I have some who tend to get stuck in the 'all or nothing' mindset (that used to be me). Do what you can this time of year, and do what works best for you and YOUR life-you will feel better if you do.
- As your body evolves, you goals will (and should) evolve too. As women, we go through so many changes in life, and it's natural for our bodies to change and evolve over time. Even if our weight always stayed the same (which is doubtful), our bodies will still be different. It's okay for things to change over the years, whether that's with our relationship, children, careers, and even holiday traditions. It's okay for your life to evolve, because it really should be!
It's totally okay to enjoy and soak up this holiday season, because it really is a special time of year.
I spent WAY too many years not being fully present, and not really enjoying the holidays with my loved ones. I don’t want you to go through that, because it doesn’t have to be like that!
These thoughts have really been on my heart lately, so I hope this information comes to you at the right time. Remember-this time of year is meant to be enjoyed, and it can look however you want it to!
